My everlasting memory of Latka will be of him being hauled off against West Ham and then being publicly humiliated on the touchline by the manager in a blatant display of "look viewers, it wasn't my fault, blame Latka"

The look on the poor boys face was one of a lad with his confidence destroyed.

I hope he is succesful elsewhere under the guidance of a manager that can manage properly

Latka has been released. He was told his loan would not be made permenant.

Shame as he looked like he had potential. According to a few people who spoke to him he actually wanted to stay at the club but Bruce decided he wasnt what we needed!

Yep we are keeping Tiny.

Proccy - these 'few people' are friends of mine who went to the end of season awards dinner and spoke to Latka. Happy now you know?

Well Thierry Henry did show him up 'a wee bit' at St Andrews

And I could even forgive him for the West Ham handball but hope he wouldn't ever do it again

Hey! Maybe someone said he'd be marking Andrew Johnson next season

Well, obviously not as NOW we are dependent on a 'mule' like Martin Taylor at the heart of the defence and AJ will probably score FOUR against us

Because Tiny is under contract. We cant release him unless we pay it up and there is no point in that.

Anyway Tiny will be OK (not brilliant but a good first reserve CH) in the championship.

and what, can i ask, are you basing your assumptions on?

the fact that he was cr@p in the Prem must surely mean that now we have dropped a division he will come good. the fella struggles to defend, cannot mark, struggles to use his aerial prowess (no washing powder gags please) and provide little or no threat in attack.

whatever level you play, defenders of his size need to be able to do the above. so imo you can put the player in any division and his abilities will be shown up for what they are. cr@p!

I'm not going to be too hard on Taylor, but two observations from me on his ability:

1. He is not assertive enough, and lacks aggression

2. He fails to attack the first ball, often allowing in to bounce and letting the striker in

If he is like that in the Premier League, he will be like that in the Championship, that must be a cause for concern

Because hes not been bad cover in the Premiership.

4 clean sheets in april with him in the team- he is by no means the weakest link in our squad.

Taylor seems like the sort of player that you need to kick in the painful area before and at half time to get him started. I do believe with agression and better concentration he could be a very good centre back.

Latka was awaful. No pace, no positional sense, rash. Anyone could see that. At £1.8 million, what a waste of money that would have been. Not that we have got £1.8 millon...............spot on what Kenny said about the board and the money they've saved/earned in the Mail tonight

Taylor was arguably the worst centrehalf in the premiership, a graduate from the Boumsong School of Excellence, its a shame his contracts not up, as he would've been thrown out by the goolies!

What squad are we talking about exactley nine f****ng players have just been released. The club are telling us they have no money and the rubbish about Jerome is all about selling ST's do the Board at Blues really think us Brummies are so f*****g stupid.

Are Blues really going to bring in nine players to replace what has gone to a standard that can get us automatically promoted. I have been saying for quite a while now that Bruce had to go, but I am starting to think that an investor buying the club might be even better. Three of the richest men in the Country and no money to put into Blues after a poster highlighted on this forum the other day that we are saving approximately 10 million in salaries and the parachute payment is about another 8 million????? No wonder there so f*****g rich!!!

Is anyone else getting depressed and fed up about the constant gloom and doom at Blues. Antone really think were going to get automatic promotion back to the Premiership your having a laugh, which is exactley what one fan stood up at the end of season ceremony and told Gold when he came out with some babbling b******t!!!

wtf** wtf** wtf** IS GOING ON wtf** IS GOING ON??????????????

I obviously am not a fan of Bruce's and haven't been for a while

But he did absolutely nothing wrong in that situation.

If thats what has happened to that lad then Im being pushed further and further towards the 'Anit-Bruce' campaign.

He had alot of potential, more balls tha Martin Taylor and I thought he seemed like a player with determination and spirit.

Bruce, you are seriously starting to make me think...

What StAndys4Ever has said better not be true because he is talented there's no two ways about that - I hope for the sake of everyone concerned it isn't.

Latka wasnt given a chance. Thrown into the deep end of relegation in January to save the club. If he wasnt that good why did we sign him to save us in the first place? I though he was gonig to be a long term prospect for the club.

makes me wonder why we didnt sign the more experienced Von Schlebrugge player if we werent looking to develop prospects ;)

Yet another on our growing list of players not given a proper opportunity to prove their ability.

How can you expect to see the best of any young foreign player when hes not given adequate time to settle into his new surroundings? Then only gets 5 games to prove himself?

Its our loss, not Latkas in my opinion. I feel he will prove to be a quality footballer.
